Army Wear's Wristband

As you know, our colors for this year are Yellow and Green. Yellow for hope and Green for solidarity. Anyways, the big talk right now is "change" so we're taking the initiative to be part of it. We've been giving away these wristbands for the past 4 weeks now. Not sure if people just like free wristbands but these things ran out pretty quick at Magic Tradeshow. We'll be giving these out at our next party... April 5th. Details coming soon.

Coming this Fall 2008

This Fall, while other brands moving toward dark shades, Army Wear will be painting the streets with colors. We're not kidding. Our whole collection will be playing with a mixture of Yellow, Green and Royal. On top of that, we're going completely SIMPLE & CLEAN. Nothing compare to our current collection. At this point, we feel the need to separate ourselves from anything mainstream and be unpredictable. Since we've always preach, "live life to the fullest", we gonna enjoy all the colors we can think of.

Here is the first look of Fall 2008. We have UNIQUE & BOLD button-down shirts, cardigans, V-Neck sweaters and tees.
IN STORES THIS AUGUST OF 2008. Keep checking as we unveil the curtain. :)

Never judge a book by its cover

Ever heard of the phrase "you can't judge a book by its cover"? Well, it just means that you don't make judgements based only on appearances.

If people judge a book by its cover then:
Army Wear sells military products
The name "Army Wear" is not cool enough to be a fashion line
Everyone will get better jobs with better names

Guess what?!? We're keeping our name and running with it. :) This way, we'll flush out all the folks who judge others by their name, color of skin, gender or culture. Besides, people love our concept. We know that 60-70% of the products out on the market is based on hype so to be truly independent, we'll continue doing what we do. We believe in our products and will continue to promote Army Wear as a "positive lifestyle" brand and avoid flooding our products with logos. :) Seriously, there is nothing creative about a plain white tee with a company name in 20 different colorways.

Flashback - Bono gets Liberty Medal

Last September, right after we celebrated our anniversary, Bono was presented with the Liberty Medal for his humanitarian work on Aids, Third world debt and hunger. Past recipients include Nelson Mendela, Thurgood Marshall, and pres. Jimmy Carter. The fact that a man dedicated most of his life to music and yet still find time to volunteer is truly inspirational. What's more impressive is that Bono is already the "master of his game" so volunteering is not a way to be rich or famous. People who reminds us of this is John Lennon, Oprah, Angelina Jolie, Tiger Woods... the list goes on. Much respect to them.

Anyone down to vote this year?

Remember the last election when Diddy tried to do the whole "vote or Die" campaign? Along with "Rock the Vote" or "Vote for Change"? Don't know about you but many of us were pissed off with the outcome. Nothing changed since then except the fact that more soldiers died and the economy has gone to the point of no return. Just look around! You can see the frustration on people's faces when it comes to finance... from friends to family.

Ok! We know that no president can serve more than 2 terms so Bush is out of the run for good. We have Obama, the first African American president on the way and Hillary, the first female president. John McCain seems like a competition for these two since he received a lot of support from Republicans. The bad news is that he's been hanging out with Bush a little too much lately. Does this mean he's gonna be just like Bush? Rudy Giuliani is a good candidate too but haven't heard much about him. The person that seem to have the best knowledge about the negative effects of "stupid" decision is Ron Paul. He clowns and takes a crack at any politician in his way. The man seems fearless in every way when it comes to debates. Unfortunately, doesn't seem to compose himself that well. The thing is.. we're all frustrated but as a president, you have to stand your ground. He probably be a good vice president just to keep the president in check... But not sure about a leader that will lead us to "Change".

By the way, have you guys seen Obama's website(barackobama.com)? He is not playing.

Who cares right?

These videos just says it all for us at Army Wear! What they do for music, is what Army Wear tries to do for fashion. Keeping everything fun & positive from season to season. Yes, building a "positive lifestyle" brand. To our supporter, thanks for keeping us alive! :)

Nickelback - If everyone cared

Black Eye Peas - Where is the love

It's pretty sad to know that only a few in this world gives a damn about humanity.

International Women's Day

In 1908, about 15,000 women marched down the streets of New York demanding things we often taken for granted... Shorter hours at work, better pay and voting rights. That historic moment have reached out to millions of women around the globe. In 1917, after a massive protest in Russia, it was declared that March 8th is the International Women's day. In 2011, it will be 100th years of IWD - International Women's Day.

This goes out to our sisters, mothers, grandmothers, and women's everywhere. Sometimes it just ain't fair. Only if every man on this planet give more respect to women, life would be much better.

Once again...

okay so we took this blog thing off our site to do something else... that "something else" ain't really working for us. haha Actually we're still working on it.

Reasons for bringing it back? We got a lot of UPDATES. So much update you might think we're crazy. :) We do want to apologize to the supporters for leaving ya hanging. Thanks for checking us out and emailing us. Alright... so what's the deal with the changes? our new stuff coming out in Fall '08 looks 10 times better than what we have now. Honestly we didn't want to go too far with the spring '08 collection because we wanted to give you the best in FALL. Since then, we've change our ways of production. Everything we have coming up is all "cut & sew"... just expect much more details. As you can see, we first introduce our cut & sew in our women's hoodies... "Love" and "Tigers".

Changes/Updates:

Update 1: Official RMY Team
After working with over 40 amateur/professional models, photographers and designers, we finally selected "the best of the best" to form our official RMY team. We'll dedicate a blog & update you on who they are. If you're from the Bay Area, you might know some of them. The other thing is, we also have reps down south now! :)

Update 2: Special Events
Besides our fashion shows and club events, we failed to hold events for non-profit organizations. :( Honestly, Army Wear didn't start with a team. Just a whole bunch of people from different backgrounds working together to get this line going. Now that we do, we will coordinate special events and invite you to do something great for our community. Especially with our biggest supporter... San Francisco Food Bank.

Update 3: New Products
Now that our line is cut & sew, everything takes longer to produce... BUT will have more details. We'll give you a sneak peak of our next season as we get closer to Fall. Just expect us to drop new products every August(Fall) and February(Spring). One thing is for sure... it's quality NOT quantity.
